Just got this email alert today. Yahoo is FINALLY allowing advertisers to choose between Yahoo! Search or Yahoo! Partners traffic.
Dear Advertiser,
As part of our ongoing initiatives to strengthen the Yahoo! Search Marketing marketplace, we will soon be launching a product enhancement that will give you more transparency into the performance of the traffic you receive.
The enhancement is a new network distribution feature that will enable you to set up campaigns or ad groups to specifically receive traffic from Yahoo! Search, Yahoo! Partners, or both. If you choose to set up a campaign or an ad group to receive traffic from the Entire Network (i.e., both Yahoo! Search and Yahoo! Partners), you will have the ability to fine–tune your bids by applying discounts or premiums on the Yahoo! Partner traffic.
This initiative is an important component of our ongoing goal to deliver high–value traffic to you, and to provide a quality experience for users. It is tentatively scheduled for availability in the U.S. market in early Q1 2010.
What Do I Need to Do?
This email is simply an early notification to prepare you for this product enhancement. Your specific campaign objectives will determine the best use of the network distribution controls. We suggest that you become familiar with the following tools to get the most out of this new feature:
| • | Ad Delivery Report – Provides insight into where your ads are showing on our various partner sites, pricing by partner, and domain–level performance. |
| • | Blocked Domains – Block up to 500 domains that aren’t working for you. |
| • | Conversion–only Analytics – This tool allows you to track conversion events by domain, and record revenue that might be associated with a transaction. |
To learn more about the above features in advance of the launch of the network distribution feature, please sign up for our webinar, taking place on Thursday, January 7 at 11:00 a.m. Pacific Time.
If you have any questions regarding this enhancement, please contact us.
Sincerely,
Your Partners at Yahoo! Search Marketing
